fect – especially on this picture.

The pride of place in Your house, – as far as good

lighting is concerned, – is taken by Tranaas, – and

that he must of course have, – but on the

other wall – across from Tranaas is an

excellent spot (for lighting), – where

the portraits of Björn Smit-Hald

hang, – these would easily tolerate a less favourable

spot, – since they are so small, they can be

placed on smaller wall panels.

That place, I would particularly

like.

The woodcut that I am sending may not

be quite dry enough yet, to withstand

varnishing (it should in fact be varnished as

any other painting, – as it is partially

printed with thick paint). I told you

recently ^Bydal, that it could remain without

glass – but it may after all be best

to cover it with glass, since dust will easily

get stuck in between the thick raised elements in

the print. And now I wish You both along with Your family

a “Merry Christmas!” from everyone here
