Fra H. J. Meyer. Til

BERGEN AGENT A/S Herr Kunstmaler Nic. Astrup

SKIBSMÆGLERE Jölster

BERGEN den 13/10 1921

Tak for sidst i Jölster! Jeg burde ha skre-

vet for længe siden, men min tid har desværre

været mere end almindelig stærkt beslaglagt siden

jeg kom fra jagten. – Nu har jeg heldigvis

endelig faaet af hændet resten af de ting De

sendte mig i August. Einar Engelsen tog, som

De erindrer "Sommernat og Soleier" i sort og

hvidt tryk. Jeg forlangte blot Kr. 110 for det, siden

De havde nævnt denne pris, og siden det var til

Engelsen. Disse penge har Engelsen selv sendt

Dem for en tid siden, og De har

vel sendt ham kvittance.

De tilovers blevne pennetegninger

fik jeg Herr Georg von Erpecom

(firma Westfal-Larsen) at ta.

Han tog alle ùndtagen det {...}

med katten og killingerne. Det

blev ialt Kr 170 i henhold

til den pris, som stod paa

bagsiden af hvert enkelt. Herr

Erpecom har sendt Dem disse

Kr 170, og De har formodentlig

sendt ham kvittance.

Saa har jeg solgt den

sidste smaa pennetegning

– katten etc – til tandlæge

Rolseth. Prisen var Kr 15.

Tilslut havde jeg blot det

sorte og hvide tryk "Sandals-

strand" tilbage. Deres pris

for dette var Kr 90. Jeg

böd det til forskjellige, men

desværre uden at bli af

II

med det. Ja selvfölgelig böd jeg det ikke rùndt

til hvemsomhelst, – det har jeg heller ikke

tid til. Alt maa ske leilighedsvis. Tilslut

Jeg venter nu ogsaa paa

maleriet, "Tungjöl". Om jeg

selv kan ta det, ved jeg ikke

med bestemthed, men jeg har

stor lyst paa det. Jeg faar nu

se naar det kommer. Imod-

satfald kan jeg antagelig faa

en af mine venner til at

ta det.

Vær saa snild at <sende>

mig en kvittance for Kr 125

udfærdiget til Herr Lorentz

Wiese Hansen, jr. Jeg tror

han vilde like at ha en

slig. – Ellers glæder jeg mig

til at höre fra Dem, og haa-

ber at alt staar vel til hos

Dem. Med de venligste hil-

sener til Dem og hustru

Deres forbundne

H. J. Meyer.

BERGEN AGENT A/S The Painter Nic. Astrup

SHIPPING AGENT Jölster

BERGEN 13/10 1921

Thank you for a wonderful time in Jölster! I should have writ-

ten long ago, but my time has unfortunately

been more than usually occupied since

I returned from hunting. – Now I have fortunately

been able at last to sell the remainder of the things You

sent me in August. Einar Engelsen took, as

You remember[,] “Summer night and Marigolds” in black and

white print. I asked only Kr. 110 for it, since

You had mentioned this price, and since it was for

Engelsen. This money Engelsen has sent himself

to You a while ago, and You have

sent him a receipt I presume.

The remaining ink drawings

I convinced Mr Georg von Erpecom

(the firm Westfal-Larsen) to take.

He took all of them except the {...}

with the cat and the kids . It

amounted to Kr. 170 in all based

on the price, that was written on

the back of each one of them. Mr.

Erpecom has sent You these

Kr. 170, and You have presumably

sent him a receipt.

And then I have sold the

last small ink drawing

– the cat, etc. – to the dentist

Rolseth. The price was Kr. 15.

In the end I only had the

black and white print “Sandals-

strand” left. Your price

for this was Kr. 90. I

offered it to various persons, but

unfortunately without placing

II

it. Well of course I did not offer it around

to just anyone, – that I do not have

time for either. Everything must occur during leisure time. I finally

offered it to my friend Lorentz W. Hansen,

and asked Kr. 125 for it. He took it.

He knows of course nothing about the fact that You would have let

it go for 90. It is none of his business either.

I am sending now enclosed 125 + 15 = Kr. 140,

and hope You are satisfied. –––

When you uncover additional ink drawings,

or when You have new prints, I

will very much like to see them, and if

I might have them sold You know

that I would like to do that. If

I cannot place them, I would prefer

to deliver them to Kramer, if You

 so wish. –

I am also waiting for

the painting, “Tungjöl”. Whether I

can take it myself, I do not know

for certain, but I have

a great desire to. I will wait

and see when it arrives. Other-

wise I can most likely have

one of my friends

take it.

Please <send>

me a receipt for Kr. 125

written out to Mr. Lorentz

Wiese Hansen, Jr. I believe

he would like to have

one. – For the rest I look forward

to hearing from You, and hope

that everything is well with

You. With the kindest re-

gards to You and your wife

Your obliged

H. J. Meyer.
