Kjære Hr. Meyer! 25/11 18

Kùn et par ord i all hast, – jeg sender

stryger man gjevnt over det hele, – siden

leder – selvfölgelig gratis, – tak for invitationen

skulde De allerede mod formodning have sendt

Oversettelse

Dear Mr. Meyer! 25/11 18

Just a few words in haste, – I am sending

the promised varnish today, – I have unfortunately

forgotten it repeatedly, – it should be

mixed with fifty percent turpentine – and applied

with a brush in several coats – must dry

for a few hours between each coat; – first

apply evenly over the entire [surface], – then

apply over the areas, where it

is most dried out – it is a question of

freshening up the colour, without it becoming “shiny”.

However, the most recently painted pictures are still too

“fresh” to withstand varnishing, – but I

may in the near future be coming to Ber-

gen and will then with pleasure varnish Your pic-

tures – free of charge of course, – thank you for the invitation

to stop by for a visit.

Now make sure that You remember, when You send me

the money for the pictures, that I have received

Kr. 400 in advance, – I forgot to mention this

the last time, – I assumed, that You remembered it, –

in case You have contrary to expectations already sent

me the entire amount Kr. 4100, then I will

return Kr. 400 immediately – – Only

Kr. 3700 – is due me. With very best

wishes from me and my wife, I remain Your obliged
