Fra H. J Meyer Til

C/o. JOHAN BOLLMANN Herr Kunstm. Nicolai Astrup

SKIBSMÆGLER Jölster

BERGEN den 15/4 1920

       Bedste Herr Astrup!

Mange tak for Deres brev samt de 2

tryk af "Oldefar". – Min ven Wiese-Hansen

at De selv skulde ha for-

tjenesten. Der stod ingen pris

paa billederne, og jeg husker ikke

prisen paa dette fra sidst. Imid-

lertid stod der jo paa pakken

"Værdi Kr 200", saa vi gik

ud fra at dette var det rette,

hvorfor jeg beregnede Kr 100 pr.

styk. Herr Hansen vil selv

sende Dem Kr 200. – Imid-

lertid vil jeg gjerne bede Dem

om endnu et tryk af "Oldefar"

til Herr Engelsen. Han var fornær-

met fordi jeg ikke lod ham faa

det som jeg halveis havde lovet,

men nu tog jo Hansens begge!

Vær derfor saa snild at lave

og sende mig et til snarest.

Tar ikke Engelsen det er der

altid en anden som beholder

det. Vær saa snild at gjöre

dette saasnart De kan, og lav

et pent et. – Om nogle dage

reiser min kone og jeg til England paa

en 3 ugers tur.

Med bedste hilsener

Deres H. J. Meyer.

SHIPPING AGENT Jölster

BERGEN 15/4 1920

Dear Mr. Astrup!

Many thanks for Your letter including the 2

prints of “Great grandfather”. – My friend Wiese-Hansen

thanks You and kept one of them. It was very

kind of You to give me the other one.

However I already have this one, as You per-

haps remember, and my friend Wiese-Hansen’s

brother who saw it, wished to have it. I therefore permitted

myself to sell it to him. I hope

I did not do Mr. Kramer a great

disfavour, but I assume

that he like myself would rather

that You should have the pro-

ceeds. There was no price attached

to the pictures, and I don’t remember

the price from the last one. In the mean-

time it stated on the package

“Value Kr. 200”, so we assumed

that this was correct,

and from this calculated Kr. 100 per

print. Mr. Hansen will

send You Kr. 200 directly. – In the mean-

time I would like to ask You

for yet another print of “Great grandfather”

for Mr. Engelsen. He was offend-

ed because I did not let him have

it which I had nearly promised him,

but now the Hansens took both!

Therefore please be so kind as to make

and send me one more soon.

If Engelsen does not take it there is

always someone else who will want to have

it. Please do

this as soon as You can, and make

a nice one. – In a few days

my wife and I will depart for England on

a 3-week tour.

With best wishes

Your H. J. Meyer.
