Kjære frù Höst!

Tak for telegrammet!

til leilighed gik over fjorden; – min tele-

gram-adresse hid er: "Vasenden i Jölster", – da

Deres telegram. – Ja velkommen i Juli da!

Med de bedste hilsener Deres hengivne

Dear Mrs. Höst!

Thank you for the telegram! – You had sent

it to Hægrenes, and there it lay

until [the] opportunity [arose] to cross the fjord; – my tele-

gram address here is: "Vasenden in Jölster", – then

it would be delayed only one or at most 2 days.

I hastened to dispatch the prints as quickly

as possible, but it will doubtless be too late to get

the framing done; – my telegram was probably

unintelligible, – I have since realised, – I meant that You

might perhaps speak with several framers

in advance and divide the prints between

them, when they arrived, – so that it might be done

swiftly, – I handled it that way, when

I had my first exhibition in Bergen.

Engel and I were a bit disappointed, that You didn’t

come now; – the flagpole has now been raised after many

attempts and – the bird cherry is blooming! – the

crown is white, – I would have telegraphed You

about it yesterday, had we not just received

Your telegram. – Welcome in July then!

With the best of wishes Your devoted

Astrup
